About Our Quality Programs


VOXX International maintains international status in quality management systems for many of its consumer and automotive electronics products. Initiated formal quality management systems in 1998 when it received QS-9000 certification for automotive audio, video, and security system products, and upgraded to process based TS16949 in 2006. Through the support of our OE relationship with the FORD Motor Company, VOXX International secured Q1 status in early 2002. These certifications have allowed us to produce consistent products and systems for Delphi/GM, Nissan, Ford, Mazda, Toyota, Kia, and Chrysler, and there are additional OEM proposals currently in the review phase.

Additionally, the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Code Systems Inc., which supplies vehicle security and remote start products and QS-9000 certified for vehicle security systems in 1995. Presently it is 16949 certified together with Audiovox.

As part of our community involvement, and in conjunction with our OEM customers, VOXX International developed an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System that was certified in 2003. Major environmental activities include recycling of many different materials and control of operations related to water and air quality requirements. Recently, we completed our first annual surveillance by our registrar with zero findings.

Materials Policy


VOXX International is dedicated to providing our customers with dependable on-time delivery. We comprehensively review customer forecasts to create component purchase orders and production schedules to coincide with customer material requirements. Our goal is to have flexibility and adaptability to predict changes. All employees work together to accomplish this while maintaining a clean work environment.

MANUFACTURER'S CODE OF CONDUCT

VOXX Electronic Corp. ("VOXX") is a global supplier and distributor of consumer electronic products. As an industry leader, Voxx has a responsibility to maintain the highest levels of quality and professionalism. The company is committed to doing business in an ethical and responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable laws where it does business. Voxx expects its manufacturing and supply partners to abide by the same set of values and beliefs. We require all manufacturers and suppliers to meet the following standards:


Child Labor

Manufacturers will not under any circumstances use child labor. The term "child" refers to a person younger than 15 years old (or 14 where local law allows) or, if higher, the local legal minimum age for employment or the age for completing compulsory education.

Involuntary Labor

Manufacturers will not use any forced or involuntary labor whether prison, bonded, indentured, or otherwise.

Coercion and Harassment

Manufacturers will treat each employee with dignity and respect. They will not use corporal punishment, threats of violence, or other forms of physical, sexual, psychological abuse, or verbal abuse

Nondiscrimination

Manufacturers will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices including salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination, retirement, or by race, religion, age, nationality, social, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, political opinion, or disability.

Health and Safety

Manufacturers provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations ensuring at a minimum reasonable, adequate lighting, and appropriate ventilation. Manufacturers guarantee the same standards of health and safety applied in any housing that they provide for employees.

Compensation

Manufacturers will, at a minimum, comply with all applicable wage and hour laws and regulations, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime, maximum hours, piece rates, and other elements of compensation, and provide legally mandated benefits.

Subcontracting

Manufacturers will not use subcontractors for the manufacture of Voxx products or components thereof without Voxx's express written consent and only after the subcontractor has entered into a written commitment with Voxx to comply with this Code of Conduct.

Protection of Environment

Manufacturers will comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Conflict Minerals

Manufacturers will comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the sourcing and use of Conflict Minerals in the manufacturing process.

Monitoring & Compliance

Manufacturers will authorize and its designated agents (including third parties) to engage in monitoring activities to confirm compliance with this Code of Conduct, including unannounced, on-site inspections of manufacturing facilities and employer-provided housing, review of books and records relating to employment matters, and private interviews with employees. Manufacturers will maintain on site all documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with this Code of Conduct.
